Appraiser
About the Sherman County Appraiser
The Sherman County Appraiser determines the real market value of a real property — including residential, business personal property, manufactured structures, commercial property, and agricultural land — for tax assessment purposes. After the real market value is established, the assessed value is then calculated.
Additionally, the Appraiser analyzes sales data to determine trends and averages (as indicators of value), and answers inquiries from the public about assessment values and appraisals, land ownership, property taxes, and other topics.
