Is there a 4-H newsletter, how can I get a copy or get on the mailing list?

Yes, Sherman County 4-H has a newsletter that comes out six to eight times per year. If you’d like to be added to the mailing list call the OSU Extension Office at (541) 565-3230, or simply view the newsletters from our online https://extension.oregonstate.edu/newsletter/sherman-county-4-h-newsletter or by contacting cindy.brown@oregonstate.edu to be put on a mailing list.

I’m interested in volunteering as a 4-H leader, what do I need to do?

What 4-H clubs are available in Sherman County?

Currently, Sherman County 4-H clubs help area youth nurture their skills with live animals including: Cows, Goats, Sheep, Pigs, Poultry, Rabbits, Dogs and Horses.  Static: Sewing, Cooking, Outdoor Cooking and Food Preservation, and Photography.  (See the current Sherman County Club Projects list at http://extension.oregonstate.edu/sherman/4h-youth.)

When is 4-H camp and how much does it cost?

Sherman County 4-H camp is held the third week of June at the Camp Morrow lakeside facility outside of Wamic.  Youth in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade may attend, and attendees do not need to be 4-H members. 4-H Day camp is for 2 days at teh cost of $50.  Please contact cindy.brown@oregonstate.edu for more … Continued

How do I apply to become a 4-H Leader?

The 4-H Leader forms are at https://extension.oregonstate.edu/4h/sherman/volunteers.  A background check is required.  The Sherman 4-H Association (formerly 4-H Leaders Assn) meets monthly at the OSU Extension Office at 66365 Lonerock Rd. Moro, OR 97039.
